Cafe Und Restaurant Korthaus in Hannover

Open in lockdown times with a great selection and nice staff. We got our cake there today. Nice that this cafe was open as others are closed due to the corona measures. The cake tasted very good and is highly recommended. I keep my fingers crossed that this difficult time will pass quickly!

I really enjoyed the Cafe Korthaus again! The food is still excellent! I ate a 'mixed salad with fried chanterelles' with a very fine dressing, yummy! It was well attended for lunchtime, and when the weather is good you can sit outside!

The cakes are very tasty, my favorite is schman chaman de sacher Torte. The attendants are professional and personable. I always buy cake, the place is always full so book a table first.

Unfortunately, the cafe is technically and also from the menu in the 70 / 80s and therefore not particularly inviting for younger people. However, the audience is also rather 60+, which is why the cafe is popular as an institution here in the district. The younger generation would be happy about a slightly more modern style and a few more modern dishes on the menu (so rather fresh and less meat), but if you like simple classic German cuisine like grandma's, this is the place to be and the cakes are to die for . This is exactly how cakes have to taste and that is completely timeless.

I don't like it because there are only 3 dishes to choose from at Christmas and the same dishes every day. Above all, it hardly tastes there ... The ready-made dishes from the supermarkets taste better than that. I never eat there again! It used to taste good but jz no thanks, it doesn't taste there anymore.
